Voltaire seems like a bit of a contradiction. He is known for music that mixes goth and comedy. In the eighties he did stop motion and created some of the iconic station IDs used on MTV. More recently he was contracted by The Cartoon Network to create a song with they made into a Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy episode.

On April 18, 2009 I photographed him when he played at Elysium in Austin along with his touring band The Skeletal Orchestra.
Worked as a programming director at a college radio station in the eighties and in the tech industry in the nineties. Had a stroke in 2005 where I was given a few days to live. Decided to never again waste my time on things that aren't meaningful to me. Now I spend my time with my family and working as a photographer.
